Rights Respecting School Braes High School is a Rights Respecting School. RRS puts children's rights at the heart of the curriculum and school life and a Rights Respecting School is a place where pupils can all feel confident in themselves and their ability to use their voices to raise awareness of global challenges.

It gives them confidence that their opinions matter and, by extension, that they matter. Braes High School gained Gold level Rights Respecting School status in January 2019.

The accolade is given to schools that have fully embedded the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in their policies, practice and ethos. The school has always had a vision that put children at the centre of decisions that are made and children's rights are at the heart of the ethos of Braes High.
