Education Benefits and Support 2021/2022

We are writing to make you aware of the various Education Benefits and Support which is available to families and children during the 2021/2022 school year beginning in August.

Free School Meals and Clothing Grants
Depending on your income and circumstances, we can provide Free School Meals and payment towards the cost of school clothing and footwear (Clothing Grants) to the value of £120.00 per child/per year.

Please be aware that pupils who are aged 16 on or before 30/09/2021 will not be entitled to an award of Clothing Grant, but should apply for Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) instead.

Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA)
EMA is a weekly allowance of £30 during term time which is available to pupils aged 16-19 depending on their household income and circumstances.

We will be accepting applications for the 2021/2022 school year from 01/07/2021.

Please Note - A new application form needs to be submitted each year, so pupils currently receiving EMA will need to re-apply if they are returning to school after the summer holidays.
