Office Staff
The School Office consists of 8 highly skilled clerical support staff, they continuously work on building good relationships with pupils, parents and staff across all departments.
The School Office Team believe their wide experience contributes massively to the Senior and Middle Leadership Teams and wider school community through the following :
• School Improvement Planning
• Faculty Annual reviews which improves their understanding of individual faculties progress in the achievement and attainment of pupils
• Practitioner Enquiry
• CLPL
• Work Experience for Pupils
Technicians
We have team of 4 highly skilled Technicians (Science, ICT, DET) who are trained in the following areas:
• PAT Testing
• Chemical handling
• COSH
• First Aid
• Woodworking Machinery
• The operation of laser cutter software and maintenance of the equipment.
They are continually improving pupil experiences through the following:
• Increase awareness of pupil needs
• Building good relationships between pupils and staff
• Visibility around the School
• Point of contact for pupils
The Technician Team believe their wide experience would make a huge contribution to our DWY Programme through
• Providing Careers advice and attending Careers Choice Fair
• Work Experience for the Pupils
Librarian
Braes high School employs a highly skilled Librarian who has been making the library a safe and welcoming environment for both senior and junior pupils. She has been re-invigorating the learning centre by introducing the following resources:
• Vibrant visual and book displays
• New Study Guides
• Quality fiction
• Take what you need room
• New Desks and Decals
The library is opened in the morning, during class times, breaks and after school. Various clubs take place including Bibliotherapy, the Therapet programme, Pupil library programme and young librarians. Our Librarian has good relationships with all pupils and supports the following programmes:
• Literacy Leaders
• Delivery of "Maddie" -an online project for all S1 Best foot forward Group pupils
• Readers Development Programme
• Graphics for P7 Transition Programme

Support for Learning
Our 10 Support for Learning Assistants continually work on building good relationships with pupils, parents and staff across all departments. They work with pupils within the BGE and Senior Phase and support the following:
• Pupils physical and mental health, together with social emotional, behavioural and cognitive development
• School improvement Planning
• Faculty Annual reviews which improves their understanding of individual Faculties progress in the achievement and attainment of pupils
• Our In- house guidance Volunteers programme
The support for Learning team believes their wide experience contributes massively to the mental health and wellbeing of staff and pupils through the following:
• Increased awareness of pupils needs
• Good relationships between pupils and staff
• Visible around school-identity
• First point of contact for pupils
