School Library
The school library is the hub of the school- it is for everyone! It helps support Curriculum for Excellence for both teachers and pupils, provides teaching space through a suite of computers and provides a welcoming space for all. Library staff can help you find a great book to read- either for school work or just to enjoy!

Reading and well-being
Every week we are visited by Jamie the therapy dog from Canine Concern and his owner Janette. They work with students from S1/2 English and from the pupil support base.
Pupil Librarians.
We have a range of S1-6 pupil librarians who help us in the library. They help keep the library tidy, create displays and help with new books. This is a great opportunity for pupils of all ages to take on a leadership role within school- as well as have some fun!

Red (Read, Enjoy and Debate) Book Awards
Every year a group from S2 takes part in Falkirk Council's very own Red Book Awards. Pupils Read, Enjoy and Debate a shortlist of 4 books. They then vote for their favourite title, meet the authors, and take part in the award ceremony in May.
This year we aim to have a special Red Book Awards book club, in the library every Wednesday lunchtime, and an S2 English class has been selected to shadow the awards too: they will read the shortlisted books, take part in the competitions to redesign a front cover, rewrite an ending and create a digital creative interpretation of the book...and vote for their favourite.
The winner of the 2023 Award was Cynthia Murphy with Last One To Die
