Welcome to your Library

The school library is the hub of the school- it is for everyone! It helps support Curriculum for Excellence for both teachers and pupils, provides teaching space through a suite of computers, houses some careers materials, and provides a welcoming space for everyone. Library staff can help you find a great book to read- either for school work or just to enjoy!

Currently due to the COVID 19 pandemic many of the library's wonderful facilities have had to temporarily close. We will re open the library as soon as we can! You can still Borrow books using our Book a Book Service! See posters around the school, or scan the Qcode below:

17 pupil librarians help us in the library. They help keep the library tidy, create displays and help with new books. This is a great opportunity for pupils of all ages to take on a leadership role within school- as well as have some fun!

We have 4 Senior pupil librarians - (Ellie is missing!).

All pupil librarians also create the termly library newsletter:

Library Events

• May 2020 Red (Read, Enjoy and Debate) Book Awards

Every year a group from S2 takes part in Falkirk Council's very own Red Book Awards. Pupils Read, Enjoy and Debate a shortlist of 4 books. They then vote for their favourite title, meet the authors, and take part in the award ceremony at Falkirk Town Hall in May.

This year we had a special Red Book Awards book club, in the library every Monday lunchtime.

Red Book Awards became a virtual event this year, due to COVID 19. Pupils logged in to join the four authors and other Falkirk schools on May 22nd, when the winner of the award was announced: Lauren James.
