- Exam Supports for Pupils in S4/5/6 # OneLastPush Support]
Dear Parent/Carer,
As we approach the exam period, I would like to highlight the planned subject specific support sessions for our senior pupils. While our young people are welcome in school at any point during the exam period, the attached timetable highlights the times staff have been planned to give that extra bit of support just before the exam.
This information has also been shared on Teams with your young person.
Kind regards,
Marjorie Cotter
Dear Parent/Carer
Your young person's third tracking report is now ready to view in Progress, our online tracking system. Please log on https://my.didbook.com using the email address and password you previously set to view the last report. Young people can also log on to the system to view their report, using their Glow email.
In some curricular areas (Creative Arts, Humanities, Science and Technologies), pupils are taught subjects on rotation and, as such, will only have a report on the most recent subject they have been learning.
This report will tell you the current level they are working at in each subject and how well they are progressing through the level. Please note that in many cases you may not see a change in level since the last report in December. Our BGE Guide for Parents and Carers is attached, if you require more information.
In addition, you will also be able to see how your young person is progressing and engaging with their learning. The tracking system also allows teachers to include comments and next steps, where appropriate. These comments will provide you with a deeper understanding of the strengths of your young person and highlight any necessary support or actions to support continued learning.
If you have any questions or require further information about your young person's report, please contact their Pastoral Head.
We are here to support you and your young person.
Yours faithfully

08/08/2023 Update
With only a few days until the return to school for young people on Wednesday 16th August, some of you may be looking for last minute items of uniform. Friends at Braes have a significant stock of good quality pre-loved items in a variety of sizes. These can be found on the rail just inside the main entrance to the school. The school will be open between 9am and 2pm on Monday and Tuesday.
I'm also looking for some help in sourcing pre-loved blazers for a few young people in the following sizes:
Boys 42" or 44"
Girls 38" x 2
Boys 34"
If anyone has one of the above and they are willing to donate it, please can you email friendsatbraeshigh@gmail.com. I have more stock at home, so if you can't find what you're looking for, please also get in touch using the same email address.
Kind regards
Susan MacKinnon
