Family Learning via our Family Fun Day
In 2025 we relaunched our Braes Community Family Fun Day – and it is now back as a core part of what we do!
Working together with amazing local community groups and services, we open our school up to families, neighbours and our wider Braes community in the summer term.
This day is designed for:
• our current Braes families
• our new incoming P7 families who are about to join us
• our wider community partners
Our goal is simple:
for young people and families to EXPERIENCE Braes as a place of joy, belonging and fun.
Families get to take part in real “family learning” activities in our school faculties – where parents/carers and pupils learn together side by side. You get to see first-hand the way young people learn in secondary school AND get a real feel for the values, relationships and community culture at Braes.
Every year we see incredible attendance, huge smiles, and fantastic feedback.
This is now a highly valued event for pupils, families and staff – and one we are excited to keep growing every year.
