Parent Council Welcome

Braes High Parent Council's aim is to help the school operate successfully and try to represent the views of all parents/carers. The Parent Council has been involved in discussing and contributing to many different areas including:

• the revised anti-bullying policy
• reviewing course choice information from S2 to S3
• Junior and Senior Pupil Council proposals
• S4 curriculum
• the timing of the S1 Parents' Evening
• developing a new tracking system
• raising awareness of extra-curricular activities on offer
• extending leadership opportunities into the junior years
• reviewing the curriculum structure
• introducing more vocational and alternative accreditation
• one last push - exam preparation.

Meetings are held every one/two months throughout the school year and often include presentations by Pupil Council representatives and staff. All parents/carers are most welcome to join and get involved at any time. If you are interested in becoming involved or would like further information about the Parent Council please email:
