In 2018 Braes High School was awarded the Sport Scotland gold award. We were only the second school in Falkirk council and one of only 65 secondary schools in Scotland to do so. The Sport Scotland Gold Award is awarded based on schools providing detailed examples, informaiton, pictures, videos, written evidence and practical showcasing to support the following areas:

Physical Education, School Sport, Pathways, Compete and Perform, Celebrating Sport, CLPL, Leadership, Recognition & Award and Access (Facilities)

This is a fantastic achievement for all pupils and staff involved. A special mention must go to our PE department who consistently provide a wide range of diverse extra curricular opportunities aimed at developing health and well being, social skills and allowing pupils to compete at a local, regional and national level.
